click on patterns to see full rug		 The majority of Clare's fiber work is comprised of flat woven weft-faced tapestry rugs to adorn either floors or walls. Her designs are based on traditional weaving patterns, which are arranged in different combinations to create original compositions. Much of her work relies on color and the use of it in conjunction with weaving patterns to create different designs.
The tapestry rugs are made with a cotton warp, and the weft is comprised of woolen rug yarn imported from the UK. Clare prefers to work with natural fibers for their quality in color and texture and for their durability. She currently weaves on a four shaft Harrisville shaft switching floor loom.
